Tess Willmot 

A passionate and tireless environmental community activist, she is driven by her love and understanding of nature in working to inspire ways in local communities in and around Plymouth can develop projects which are environmentally sustainable in the long as well as the short term. An organic gardener, with a qualification in permaculture and also in teaching trainers in permaculture, she has engaged with multi-agency projects such as the Plymouth Swarthmore Permaculture Allotments initiative, involving both the City Council and the local Probation Service. She is associated with the All-ways-Apples festival, as well as Edible Landscapes, and promotes practical workshops and events which showcase how people can work with local open spaces. She is currently concentrating on working in the Devonport and Efford areas to promote sustainable local food networks, with her enthusiasm inspiring local support.
